Greetings, beloved community! This is Pastor Steven Oliver, and today, I want to talk about something that lies at the very heart of our ministry and our online community—evangelism. It is often said that sharing the good news of Jesus Christ is the most important job we have as believers, and I wholeheartedly agree. 

At TLCC, our mission is clear: to inform people about the salvation and eternal life that can only be found in Jesus Christ. In a world filled with uncertainty and distractions, the message of the Gospel is more vital than ever. Here’s why evangelism is job one for us:

 The Great Commission

In Matthew 28:19-20, Jesus commands us to go and make disciples of all nations. This Great Commission is not just for a select few; it is a calling for every believer. As followers of Christ, we are entrusted with the incredible responsibility of sharing His love and truth with those around us. Evangelism is our way of responding to this divine mandate, fulfilling our purpose as ambassadors for Christ.

 The Urgency of the Message

The reality is that life is fleeting, and time is of the essence. Each day, countless individuals are searching for hope, meaning, and answers. They may not realize that the solution they seek is found in a relationship with Jesus. Our online community serves as a platform to reach these seekers with the message of salvation. We must be proactive in sharing the good news, as we do not know how much time we have to reach those who are lost.

 Building a Culture of Evangelism

At TLCC, we aim to create a culture of evangelism where every member feels empowered to share their faith. This involves equipping our community with the tools and resources they need to engage in meaningful conversations about Jesus. Through our podcasts, blogs, and discussions, we provide insights and encouragement to help each other grow in confidence as we share the Gospel.

 Sharing Your Story

One of the most powerful ways to evangelize is by sharing your personal testimony. Your experiences and how Christ has transformed your life can resonate deeply with thers. Encourage those in our online community to share their stories, as they can serve as a beacon of hope for those who may be struggling. 

 Embracing Technology

In this digital age, we have unprecedented opportunities to reach others through social media, blogs, and online platforms. Let us embrace technology as a means of spreading the Gospel. Share uplifting messages, engage in discussions, and invite others to join our community. Each post, comment, or share can plant a seed that leads someone closer to Christ.

 A Heart for the Lost

As we engage in evangelism, it’s essential to cultivate a heart for the lost. Pray for those in your life who do not know Jesus, and ask God to give you opportunities to share His love. Remember that evangelism is not just about speaking but also about listening, understanding, and showing genuine care for others.
